Backgrounds removed; I think there was a little too much going on XD
Firstly!!! You should know what you're getting yourself into Make sure you've read the Breedsheet and preferably read the story Here of how Phee ended up at Lakewood, since that will give you a better idea of the horse in practice.
Secondly!!! Going to the group and checking out the journals on how to adopt is a great idea, since the instructions here are a shorter version!
Some of the journals still need to be sorted, but most of the basics are now there. There's details on how to get one, how to get your Dancer registered and how to take care of him/her all the way from diet to visits from the dentist.
It is not required, but joining the group as a member will allow you to submit art of Dancers when they start competing, or even just of them at your stable. If you don't want to join or watch, its a good idea to check back as journals will be updated with more info for you
Important! Sorry, it should have been clear before. This breed is only for use in horse related roleplay games within DA. The breed cannot be used external to Deviantart and anyone putting forward a bid should have an active roleplay stable, though they do not have to be in the HARPG specifically.
The fun part!
"I want one! How do I get one?"
1. Find a Dancer you like and check you're happy with its details. Obviously, you may only buy a horse that has not been rehomed or sold already. The details cannot be altered, but everything else about the horse you can decide yourself, providing it conforms to the breed standard.
2. Let me know! Sale horses - much like in real life - are first come, first serve. So that you don't have to rush the sale art, you can opt to reserve the horse for 15 days by giving a 5 deposit.
3. Draw the horse (this image should not be intended as the ref if you get the horse). You can draw either side and it must be coloured, the markings accurate and should be shaded. Additions like backgrounds or handlers are encouraged for sake or realism.
You may draw the horse being ridden by your characters or tacked up if you wish, since you would ride a horse you intend to buy. Bids can be traditional or digital but must be drawn by you with no use of lineart.
IMPORTANT! In the comments of your art bid Include: A link to the sale batch The horse's details as listed in the sale batch as well as what you want to call the horse, what gender you've chosen and what you're thinking of doing with him/her A story will always add brownie points, but is not compulsory
4. Upload your art and send the GROUP a NOTE titled: Sale art: Batch #1 Dancer #? (001-004)
5. As soon as I have accepted the art, the horse is yours. You can then create a reference sheet and full profile (the same one that the HARPG requires).
Send a link of the ref when done to the group via NOTE so the horse can be registered
You can get a maximum of one dancer (until I can work out how much interest these guys get) If you can't decide, feel free to draw more than one and you may get either.
All Dancers are stood up for Adoption photos after wetting down. Its easier to see designs/patterns/colours without the fires.

And do any of you want a quick tutorial on how to colour their crazy hooves? I can put one together fairly quick if you do
Have fun, guys! I think that's about it for now
So, I'm not thrilled with the lines; no matter how much I edited, they still looked quirky, but I like 'em well enough. I also had to keep myself from getting too attached as I was drawing these guys...
Also, I clearly invented that wild way of writing a DNA code for a chimera horse with two sets of genes, so lets just pretend that made sense, m'kay? Til I can do some research or drag some genetically inclined friends in to help get it right
Don't really know how long...a few hours? Most of it on the lineart No refs Art, designs and breed copyright to *Tattered-Dreams Do not take, copy, edit, redistribute or manipulate.
