Finally here!
Kaimanawa Gathering JournalThis is not shown full size. If anyone who contributed wants a link to download the full size image, please note me

First, to those of you who got your parts in way back by the deadline; I'm sorry you had to wait so long. Other art I had to get done unfortunately had to come first, as did rl with all the craziness of Christmas, so I've only recently gotten around to meshing all this in.
Two more horses will be added to this before the end of January. They know who they are. No more are being taken on. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Go ahead and click on the individual contributions listed below, one or two have stories about their horse as this goes on

.
Thanks to all who participated and spread word, I hope everyone in this likes the finished piece.
And as a note: I'd appreciate if no one with a horse in this submitted it to their folder in the Kaimanawa Challenge gallery for the time being (personal stable groups is fine). I'll speak to Nev and find out how she wants it done, considering it could appear in a number of folders, or it may go elsewhere. Once we have a game plan, I'll spread word about what's happening there. Thanks in advance.

Hehe, I have entirely too much fun drawing horses in snow (or anything in snow) and those footprints

Anyway...the background is one of the wide banks that runs alongside one of the canals at the back of Lakewood Farm. They would have gone through some of the woodland before reaching this point, and the bank narrows farther up, but this is a good place for a canter. Obviously all the trees have shed their leaves, but my branches are sub-par at the best of times, so please excuse the wacky woodland across the river. And the narrowboat frozen to the far side isn't epic, but I kinda like it anyway. And I don't know why I set my stable pretty much on a lake and network of rivers, considering drawing water kills me, but I did have fun trying to make the canal look frozen - hope I didn't fail too spectacularly

Enjoy.
The background took a couple of hours I think (I did it a while back). No idea on each of the horses.
No real refs were used, though I googled images of snowy canals to get an idea in my head.
All characters belong to the artists who drew them, as listed above. Their individual contributions are copyright to them.

Still two more ponies to cram in when I have Walkie's though
I cannot cut them out and put them on a transparent background, would you be able to do that?
And I can try to add you in if you get me a link.
I've never tried cutting blank backgrounds from a traditional image, but I guess there's a first time for everything. I can give it a go, or if you know someone who can do it (probably better than me), you're welcome to get some help for that part
And yes, it did all mesh in well ^^ I don't know about the others, but I definitely don't think Kiwi's slaying material XD
I'm glad you like it!
